Siem Reap Countryside Life Tour with Vespa Adventures takes you beyond the temples on a modern Vespa, immersing you in authentic rural life far from the crowds.
We begin at APOPO, where Hero Rats trained to detect landmines save lives across Cambodia. You will see these remarkable creatures in action and learn about their humanitarian mission. Please note APOPO close only on public holidays. It's open from Monday to Sunday
Continuing along quiet back roads, we arrive at a stunning Khmer pagoda to receive a traditional Buddhist blessing. This spiritual ritual brings peace and good fortune while offering insight into local beliefs.
Venturing deeper into the countryside, we meet a family of rattan weavers preserving their generational craft and visit a medicine man who shares knowledge of traditional herbal remedies. Along the way, we sample local delicacies like sticky rice grilled in bamboo, prepared by village vendors.
Our final stop takes us into the rice paddies, where a welcoming family invites us into their home. We share refreshing drinks and genuine conversation, learning about rural life through the warmth of Khmer hospitality.
As the sun descends, our ride scenic roads back to your hotel, carrying a deeper appreciation for Cambodia beyond its famous temples.
